Use Guide
When using wash mitts, it’s best practice to use a bucket with a grit guard inside. Grit guards are filters that go inside of your wash bucket and help to trap contaminants that end up on your wash mitt while you're washing your car. The dirt particles and contaminants end up below the filter, keeping it from being picked up from your wash mitt again. This ultimately minimizes the amount of scratching on your car that might occur.

Even better than one bucket with a grit guard is two buckets and with grit guards in each (two bucket wash method). Dip your wash mitt inside of the soapy water bucket and proceed to rub the wash mitt across your vehicle to clean.

After cleaning a section of the car (e.g. a panel), dip the wash mitt into the bucket and run the wash mitt across the grit guard to remove the contaminants trapped in the fibers.

The wash mitt may be used like a glove where you have your hand inside of the wash mitt. It may also be used as a towel where you can just place your hand over the top and run the wash mitt over the car’s surface. Remember that there are two sides of the wash mitt, so use both sides before returning it to the bucket.
